Writing What Changes You

In this live coaching session, author Jennifer Strickland inspires her writers to write with conviction. There are two key principles we must remember when writing:

1. We write what we know.

  • You write what ails you. You write what changes you -- because what changes you will also change others.
  • What pains you? Therein lies your purpose.
  • What problem do you have the answer to?

"A little talent is a good thing if you want to be a writer. But the only real requirement is the ability to remember every scar." - Stephen King

2. To write what you know, you have to be still and know.

Your desire to impact lives with your writing must be strong enough to withstand the times.
