• Antonyms: chicken, chickenhearted, chicken-livered, fearful, gutless, poor-spirited, spineless, weakhearted, yellow-bellied, timid, cowardly
• We don’t want to admit we’ve been chicken-hearted, timid, cowardly — but when we don’t stand up for injustice, bravely changing our families and our cultures with undoubting lionheartedness, that’s exactly what we are.
